Truplans Inc has a full service team of architectural designers, structural engineers as well as in-house licensed general contractors for residential remodeling projects. If you have any home improvement project that involves building a room addition, whole house makeover, high ceiling conversion, accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or a basic home remodel we have the right specialist in the planning, engineering and construction fields. We have been a remodeler Orange CA since 2004 and at the same location for since 2012. Truplans has been located in the same medical and architectural building since our expansion into remodeler Orange CA which is strategically located in what locals regard as the Orange crush, a network of freeways all converging just south of the Angels stadium.

Architectural Design

Our designers are not only trained to draw architectural floor plan layouts in two dimensions, but also to create 3D graphic renderings known as computer aided design (CAD). This process dramatically helps homeowners visualize their design as it comes to life before their eyes. We conduct design meetings online, in our office, and in-your-home when possible. This design process involves live 3D editing right under your nose with design edits in real time. This has proven to be a great time saver during the design process which avoids a lot of wasteful back and forth changes. Our designers are trained by Truplans Inc construction design experts and many have come from reputable architect schools and universities such as California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California and Rutgers University in New Jersey. We are also the project support backbone for architects, engineers and remodeler Orange CA and surrounding counties.

Walk-Through Videos

If having a great 3D conceptual design team wasn’t enough, we’ve also added in recent years a full video production staff that is able to shoot, produce and edit full motion walk-through videos of your project in 3D. This gives homeowners, even the engineers and contractors the best visualization from all the important angles. Today’s state-of-the-art technology is so advanced and simple to use that it just common sense to be able to show homeowners their project in high tech motion graphics. You can see so much more detail while moving through the new space rather than if you were just viewing still graphic renderings. This technology has proven to streamline the design process and reduce the amount of change orders during construction. This video team is the same team that produces our TRULOFT podcast, as well as the before and after timelapse style videos for our expanding projects gallery.

Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers and Geo Techs

Most projects require engineering professionals to prepare and approve the construction plans for obtaining the proper building permits. These include engineers proficient in structural, civil, geo-tech, soils, boundary and topographic surveys. Our engineering team is experienced in residential construction building standards and prepare their portion of the plan set without going overboard and driving construction costs up with unnecessary structural overkill. They don’t under-develop or over-develop your structural plans. Although we are willing to work with your existing engineer (if you are using one) it should be noted that the architectural team at Truplans has a proven system passing our architectural designs to a highly experienced in-house engineering team that is most efficient. Our established procedures streamline the engineering review process all the way to building permit approval

General Contractors

It is common for Truplans Inc to collaborate with the homeowner’s existing general contractor as a remodeler Orange CA and work with the professional that they have already selected. We routinely include general contractors during the design meetings as well as the structural review and plan preparations. If the homeowner has not yet found or selected their general contractor Truplans has fully vetted highly rated licensed contractors we can choose from to selectively refer. Some of these “in-house” contracting companies have been using Truplans as their main plan developers for several decades.

As-Built Plans

In 2012 after ten years of drawing floor plans for residential homes Truplans launched the largest known repository of existing  (as-built) CAD plans for Orange County, California. We recognized a problem that was being experience by most homeowners and contractors alike, that getting a clean copy of a homes architectural floor layout was a real challenge. The plans we began providing were provided in both PDF and AutoCAD formats with the .PDF and .DWG file extensions respectively.

Visitations

Although, Truplans has made it our priority to go out to meet clients in their homes we still also encourage homeowners to visit our business offices for a quick tour and computer 3D demonstration. We’ve expanded to accommodate our growth over the years and our teams work both from a 1600 square foot office space as a remodeler Orange CA and many work from satellite offices that we have established during our growth years.

Expansion

Since the launch of our Orange County location Truplans has grow slowly but steadily across the entire state of California. Now we have a second office located in Cupertino, California and are able to serve all communities in California from these two locations. Some of our business requires us to be very mobile and travel to and from various communities including our neighboring state of Arizona.

Our Human Resource Motto

We don’t lay people off – we lift them up. Although, business has its ups and downs Truplan has been able to attract team members with excellent character and talent for measuring homes, preparing plans and developing structural drawings without a very low turnover percentage. Most of our employees and independent contractors have become shareholders in our remodeler Orange CA corporation. As a result, team members have migrated to different areas and been given offers to remain working and sometimes help us to open a new market along with their migration plan.
